Q: Will this drain my car battery?
A: With the standard rain sensor cable installation, the dash cam is powered only when the ignition is on. With the optional OBD parking kit, built-in battery protection functions are designed to help prevent excessive battery drain, but you should still monitor battery health if your vehicle is left parked for extended periods.
